Despite the pandemic, McDonald’s keeps growing in our country. After openings in Ath, Machelen, Eke, Brussels, Lanaken, a new restaurant was about to open in Sint-Pieters-Leeuw. For locals it doesn’t need to have an address, because it’s known as “the parking of Makro”.
Or at least it was known. Because, to profit from the name awareness around Makro, McDonald’s changed its name temporarily for this restaurant. It’s not a McDonald’s. It’s not even a McDo. It’s a MAKDO! And like that, the parking lot will be known in the future as the “parking lot of MAKDO”."
Just as spring cleaning brings fresh air into a stuffy house, it can also breathe new life into a company or brand, resulting in an improved state of success.
